Guests at the D23: Ultimate Disney Fan Event will get a first look at the ride vehicle and more for the Avengers King Thanos Multiverse attraction coming to Disney California Adventure.
The E-ticket ride was announced at D23 in 2022 and confirmed to be a multiverse ride focusing on a world where Thanos won. It’s been two years since any news was shared about the attraction, leading many to wonder if it was still coming.
A standee of King Thanos is on display, with a model of the ride vehicle located next to him. King Thanos is a version of Thanos who won, unlike in the events of Avengers: Endgame. It has been announced that King Thanos was a villain specifically designed for Avengers Campus.
A screen plays a video with the ride vehicle. The vehicle’s style reminds us of the new Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure in Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea.
When the Avengers attraction was originally announced it was said, “the new attraction will feature a “brand-new story that will bring guests into battle alongside their favorite Super Heroes.” Additional information has been released, citing that this will be an “epic family adventure” where you’ll get to team up with the Avengers and their allies “to battle against foes in a multi-world experience.”
Inside the ride vehicle, we can see three rows each sitting higher back than the one before. The paint scheme is primarily white, with touches of red and blue, reminding us of Captain America’s shield.
While the ride vehicle found at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is sent through time, this one is designed to be able to “jump between worlds, and even realities – on planet Earth and beyond.”
No opening date has been announced yet for the attraction, but stay tuned for our coverage throughout the weekend as more information is revealed.
