The ongoing TV anime based on the comedic superhero action manga One-Punch Man revealed today that the third season of the series will continue with a second part that will broadcast in Japan in 2027. A special teaser trailer and teaser art were also published to promote Season 3 Part 2.
Beginning as a self-published web manga by One, One-Punch Man is being adapted into a manga with writing by One and illustrations by Yusuke Murata that is serialized in Shueisha's Tonari no Young Jump publication. VIZ Media also publishes an English language version of the series.
Shinpei Nagai directs the third season at animation studio J.C.STAFF, with series composition by Tomohiro Suzuki, character designs by Chikashi Kubota, Shinjirou Kuroda and Ryosuke Shirakawa and music by Makoto Miyazaki.
VIZ Media describes the story of One-Punch Man:
Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem—he just can’t seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on!
