Unfortunately for one Justice League member, there is a certain idol that is absolutely gratuitous to the DC Universe's stability. As Harley Quinn sets everything right with the timeline, one oversight turns out to not be veritably important at all.
In Multiversity Harley Screws Up the DCU# 6 by Frank Tieri and Logan Faerber, Harley is nearly done with her task of fixing the origins of DC's topmost icons . Harley finishes her good work by stopping her once tone from burning Martian Manhunter to death. With the Justice League's origins safe and sound, Harley is summoned before the Council of Quinn, a collection of Harley Quinn variants from across the multiverse.
The Council exists to cover the DC Universe from the annihilation caused by the original Harley Quinn. After Harley returns home, the Council takes note of DC's timeline, agreeing that effects feel to be substantially back to normal. still, images of the fixed timeline reveal that Aquaman is still missing from the timeline. Arthur Curry is not sitting on Atlantis' throne, nor is he with the League in any of their group shots. still, the multiple Harleys are not picking up any strange aberration in the DC timeline.
DC Confirms its Universe Does Not Need Aquaman
The DC Universe has endured disasters ahead, but Harley Quinn really did a number on it when she was blessed a time machine. Harley ventured through time and space and, in the process, accidentally ruined the origins of DC's icons . Some Justice League members she accidentally killed, like Superman or the Flash. In other cases, Harley simply changed events enough so some investments noway came icons , like Batman. But in Aquaman's case, she averted him from being born by having an affair with his father.
And out of all the origins she fixed, the one she did not just did not bother with was Aquaman's. Granted, Harley's affair with Arthur's pater
was relatively passionate. It's relatively likely she did not want to undo those events to hold onto her recollections of the hassle. But while the DCU is down a founding Leaguer, it really does not feel like effects have changed much. One would suppose the timeline would be out of whack without Aquaman. But his absence from the timeline and its lack of impact proves just how inconsequential Arthur's actuality is.
Aquaman Never Existing Changes Nothing in the DC Universe
The DC Universe's timeline is enough fragile and does not respond well to change. When the Flash went back in time to save his mama , he accidentally created a split timeline that was so unstable it was nearly destroyed due to war. And that was just from Barry Allen's mama being saved. In proposition, Aquaman being fully canceled from the DCU should have a dramatic, conspicuous effect on the world. But rather, it does not indeed get a alternate regard from an interdimensional council sworn to cover the timeline. Unfortunately for Aquaman, this eventually proves that he is just not a pivotal idol to keep the DC Universe stable. suckers can see the effect the Justice League member has on the timeline( or warrant thereof) in Multiversity Harley Screws Up the DCU# 6, now on DC Universe horizonless and on trade August 8th.
