Omega Power Level: Which Superheroes Share Superman's Official Power Level

Superman is one of DC's strongest icons , and a couple of members of the Legion ofSuper-Heroes compete his power- including one nothing remembers.

As far as power situations go in DC Comics, there are only a sprinkle of icons on par with Superman himself. After all, the Man of Steel is considered to be one of the strongest beings in the DC Universe as well as one of the big ordnance of the Justice League. But when his capacities are officially distributed, it appears that Superman is n’t in a league of his own.

unborn State Legion ofSuper-Heroes# 2 by Brian Michael Bendis, Riley Rossmo, and Ivan Plascencia finds the nominal platoon on the point of destruction, but what’s really intriguing is data handed about the one and only Bouncing Boy at the launch of the issue. Presented in Interlac, the alien textbook classifies Superman as having an “ omega power position ” – a possible expansion of the “mega-power ” bracket given to the idol Naomi in Justice League# 63 by Bendis, David Marquez, and Ivan Plascencia. And according to the same Interlac textbook, this distinction is he shares with a couple of Legionnaires including Bouncing Boy himself as well as Mon- El.

Superman And Mon-El Go Way Back

Like numerous other DC Comics characters, and especially like his fellow members of the Legion ofSuper-Heroes, Mon- El has had a kindly tricky history of durability retcons and revamps. The idol known as Lar Gand first appeared in 1961's Superboy# 89 by Robert Bernstein and George Papp as an amnesiac alien exile. originally incorrect by the Man of Steel as a fellow Kryptonian, he was given the name Mon- El – a moniker he held onto indeed after rediscovering his history as a citizen of Daxam. ultimately, the Kryptonian- position idol finds his way onto the Legion ofSuper-Heroes after centuries of suspended vitality, getting a dependence of the platoon despite colorful reboots and relaunches, and his bracket as an omega- position power makes total sense considering his history.

still, also it’s logical to assume that fellow Kryptonians like Supergirl can also fit into that order, If a being like Superman sets the standard for omega- position powers in the DC Universe. The same should be true for Daxamites like Mon- El, whose home earth also revolves around a red sun and whose physiology reacts identically to unheroic sun. And with the DC Rebirth Legion ofSuper-Heroes series by Bendis, Ryan Sook, and Jordie Bellaire establishing Mon- El as a distant assignee of Superman and his son Jonathan Kent, it’s no surprise that the hustler Legionnaire would be in the same weight class as his ancestors.

Mon-El’s Power Is On Par With Superman

Mon- El may not be Superman’s most notorious supporter, but he clearly packs the power to fight alongside the Man of Steel. And as the Legion ofSuper-Heroes ’ resident hustler, he’s got plenitude of openings to validate his status as an omega- position power. Superman does n’t have too numerous sparring mates to choose from in DC Comics, but if he ever needs a real drill, he can turn to the Legion ofSuper-Heroes' Mon- El.
