Gen V Stars Announce Season 2 Filming Wrap With New Set Photos

That's a wrap on the second season of Gen V, the spinoff of Amazon's hit superhero series The Boys. After a delayed start, filming has concluded on the episodes that will be featured in Gen V Season 2.

The news of the filming wrap was shared on social media by some of the stars of the series. Among them was Derek Luh, who shares the role of Jordan Li with London Thor. Luh shared to Instagram a trio of images, with one including a look at a group hug on the set from what seems to be the final day of filming. He also included a photo of himself heading back home, prompting a response in the comments from co-star Maddie Phillips (Cate Dunlap), who said, "[O]h my god. [W]as that your only suitcase!????" Another comment by Phillips simply stated "love u," while Sean Patrick Thomas (Polarity) said "U did dat!!" Marco Pigossi (Dr. Edison Cardosa) and The Boys star Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko) also commented with flame and heart emojis, respectively

Meanwhile, Phillips also shared a post on Instagram with some set images, showcasing herself on the set with Luh. The post included the caption, "'if everything happens that can’t be done' (somehow) made it." Luh commented, "bacon egg and cheese," while The Boys star Erin Moriarty (Starlight) wrote, "Congrats you beauty."

Season 2 of Gen V Has Been Officially Wrapped Up With Filming

Jaz Sinclair (Marie Moreau) acknowledged the wrap by re-sharing Luh's post on her Instagram Stories; London Thor shared the same post as well. Someone else to get in on the fun was Lizze Broadway (Emma Meyer), who similarly shared a set photo on Instagram Stories with the simple message, "last day @genv." Meanwhile, Sean P. Thomas shares images of himself next to the Vought logo and his cast chair from the set, and in the caption, he wrote, "Fin."

Last Day Gen V

Wrapping up Season 2 may be bittersweet for the Gen V team. Filming on the season began tragically when cast member Chance Perdomo passed away in a motorcycle accident while en route to the set. Production on Season 2 was then delayed and rewritten in light of Perdomo's passing, given how he was set to return as a main character by reprising his role as Andre Anderson. It has since been confirmed that Andre will be written out of the series in a way that honors Perdomo, and there will not be any recasting.

Gen V doesn't yet have a premiere date for Season 2, but it is expected to debut in 2025.
