Following the success of the first season, Netflix renewed the series for two seasons, which were filmed back-to-back. With the end of filming for Season 3, both seasons are now in post-production.

“When we started working on Season 2 we gathered three forces: integrity, hope, and joy,” Executive Producer and Writer Christine Boylan shared a quote with Tudum. “And here we are almost three years later wrapping the end of production with an immensely talented and devoted team that met those ideals and exceeded them. I am eternally grateful to be part of this important, hilarious, action-packed team who is bringing this epic live action story to the world.”

The three-season arc will conclude Ang’s epic story as the four nations unite – Water. Earth. Fire. Air. – to bring The Legend of Aang to its proper end.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a live-action reimagining of the beloved Nickelodeon animated series following Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation.

Executive Producers include Christine Boylan, Jabbar Raisani, Dan Lin, Ryan Halprin, Brendan Ferguson, and Albert Kim.
