The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare: Release Date, Cast, Story, Trailer, & Everything We Know

Action maven Guy Ritchie is returning to cinemas with his hotly anticipated war movie The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and there are already a ton of exciting updates about the project. Set during the height of WWII, the film will follow a band of unconventional soldiers who use their special set of skills to fight against the Nazis in any way possible. Taking a page from Ritchie's other acclaimed movies, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare looks to combine the director's penchant for humor-tinged action.

Guy Ritchie was brought on to direct the project in 2021, a few years after Paramount Pictures acquired the rights to the eponymous book by Damien Lewis. Largely due to Ritchie's reputation, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare was an exciting prospect from day one, and each new update only helped to bolster its reputation as 2024's premier action movie. As the film's release date looms near, there continues to be a host of exciting news about the project, including its cast, and even a scintillating trailer.

The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare Story

Based On A True Story

According to Lewis' book, Winston Churchill's team consisted of sociopaths and renegades who were amped up on methamphetamines and understood that they would most likely die in battle, particularly Gus March-Phillipps, a member of British high society. The film, just like the book, will chronicle the group's efforts to bring down the Nazi regime through espionage, underhanded tactics, and all things ungentlemanly. Likely, Ritchie will take some liberties with the real-life story for the sake of exciting cinema.
