Although Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland is already on the way, the MCU will be introducing a new webslinger sooner rather than later. Made a pop culture iconic in the Spider-Verse films, Miles Morales is now considered a staple version of Spider-Man alongside Peter Parker. Although the MCU has only hinted at his existence before, it seems Marvel Studios is gearing up to introduce him soon after the third Spider-Verse film.
While attending D23 Brazil, Omelete spoke to Kevin Feige about when we could expect Miles Morales to enter the MCU. His next appearance on the big screen will be in the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the third film in the animated trilogy led by Shameik Moore. Feige confirmed that while Miles Morales occupies the big screen in animated form, he won't be in live-action. However, soon after the release of Beyond the Spider-Verse, the Marvel Studios president hopes to bring him into the MCU. His words:
“Miles will appear in the third ‘Spider-Verse’ movie, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action”
Feige doesn't reveal in which project Miles Morales will show up in, but it's safe to say he will be a significant part of the MCU going forward. The main thing complicating this is the fact Beyond the Spider-Verse was delayed from its initial 2024 release date earlier this year, and still does not have an official schedule. To that point, many expect the film to bow out in theaters sometime in 2025, as its currently in production. That said, there is certainly a possibility that the next Holland-led Spider-Man trilogy could introduce Miles Morales at some point, and perhaps in Avengers: Secret Wars.
