SDCC ’25: ABSOLUTE GREEN ARROW coming spring 2026


Absolute Green Arrow is coming in Spring 2026 from DC Comics, the publisher announced Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con.

The book will be from the creative team of Pornsak Pichetoshote and drawn by Rafael Albuquerque, and it will feature a design you can see below.


Details about the new take were sparse, but Pichetshote — who was on the panel — said that Absolute Oliver Queen is a billionaire, who gets fed up with how other billionaires are acting. The Absolute Green Arrow character will first show up in October’s Absolute Evil one-shot.

But that wasn’t the only news out the panel. Artist Hayden Sherman — who is drawing Absolute Wonder Woman — revealed that in in Absolute Wonder Woman #15, Wonder Woman will meet Absolute Batman by going to Gotham City, which starts to knit together much more of the new Absolute Universe. That comic is slated for release on December 24.

Scott Snyder on ABSOLUTE BATMAN

Scott Snyder teased a lot of what’s to come in DC’s smash hit title, Absolute Batman, as well as sharing a bit with the audience about his personal reading habits (“I really read aobut this…i f you use urine and bat guano and dry it out…you can make something flammable out of it,” he said).

Snyder revealed the following:

  • Deathstroke is coming in Absolute Batman, and is that world’s Alfred’s best friend
  • He has a vision for a new Bat-Family for that world
  • In this world, Bruce and Selina (Catwoman) are childhood sweethearts
  • The December issue of Absolute Batman is the Joker issue, and will be draww by Jock
